Yes it’s normal. The metronidazole is a broad spectrum antibiotic which will get rid of the bacteria and parasites however it will wipe out all the good bacteria as well. That is why he gave you the fluconazole which is anti fungal. The antibiotic can increase your chances of a yeast infection so thats why you need to medications.
