thank god i came across this page!! i got off the BC pill after being on it for 2 years this past august…when my period came at the end of my last pack, it was a normal period…the very last day of it i developed BV…have had it every since, almost a whole year now!! since getting off the pill, every one of my periods has been regular until lately…january’s was 4 days late…february’s was 8 days late…and the one for march is now 22 DAYS LATE. i have never been this late in my whole 11 years of menstruating…it HAS to be the BV!!!

i have had several years of pure misery dealing with BV. It really started after i got a new bf, now my fiance. i have been treated throughout my entire pregnancy for BV, and since having my daughter I have had it repeatedly. have used the pills/gel/cream, and all is well for about 1-2 weeks after using them….and then it returns! tried ruling out everything as a cause, even blaming my fiance, so ruled out sex too1!! i don’t know what is causing the BV, but i have not had a period in 5 months now, and am not preggo!! and why do doctors not seem to care about this all too common problem? just want a real cure!!! getting hopeless

I have been told that it is possible that my sexual partner was the carrier of vaginal bacteria & was assymptomatic. This to me registered STD but its not, its BV. I’ve dealt w this for a yr now & I believe that its affecting my fertility. I’ve taken creams, pills, shots. It eventually became a PID when left untreated. I can’t get it to disappear and also, ever since its been constant, my period has been late. Im usually a 33 day cycler, cycle began 1-3-11 & I still have yet to start. Perhaps BV DOES affect our menstural cycles!!!

I definitely feel you girl in va. I recently got a bad yeast infection and started doing some research on what I can do for some relief other than messy creams and embarrassing Dr. visits. I come across this Bacterial Vaginosis. Reading more into BV I think I may have this. I think I may have had it for years now. I am also couple weeks late. There is a possibility that I’m pregnant but then again I don’t think do. I have taken 2 home tests, both which were negative. Does BV cause your AF to react differently like being late sometimes or not coming at all? Is there any FREE home remedies out there that give some relief to years infections and BV?

I have had a problem with bv for 7 yrs now. I kept gettn treated with flagyl til I got da cream. I got yeast infections from da pills and da cream. I then had to b put on a cream for yeast infections too. So my dr put me on a preventative. Take one pill a wk, use da bv cream at da beginning of da week and use da yest cream at the end of the week and not do nothin ova da weekend. Its so stressful dealing with bv. I got it every mnth. I finally went to another dr hoping for sumthng that would help me. I’ve been to 5 diff dr. My last dr I went to tld me to stop taking the pills and creams. He told me I’m hurting my body rather than helping it. Said my body is becoming dependant. He said I need to let my body heal itself. Well I started taking vaginal probiotics in hope for help. Probiotics helped the yeast but nt bv. Now what do I do! It eventually comes back and my dr took me off my meds. I just lost my job and no longer have insurance. Sometimes I feel my life consist of nutn but this problem. I cry myself to sleep wondering y I have been cursed with this problem. I need help!
