Some of the bacterial vaginosis natural treatment strategies which can be used are:-
* Take a bath with 2 cups of cider vinegar added to the water.
* Eat live natural yogurt as this can help support the good bacteria in the vagina.
* Soak a tampon in live yogurt and insert into the vagina.
* Avoid using perfumed products on or near to the vaginal area.
* Eat a diet rich in fresh fruits and vegetables.
* Try using tea tree oil pessaries directly in the vagina (ensure they are suitable for internal use).
* Garlic is a natural antiseptic, so a couple of capsules daily can aid healing.
Your best bet would be to call your doctor’s office before your expected appointment and see if they can fit you in to confirm your suspicions. If you do have an infection – regardless of what type of infection – it’s best to get it take care of right away. If you don’t have an infection and it’s just an increase of cervical mucus due to the mucus plug regenerating, then you’ve at least gotten peace of mind and you know for certain. Good luck to you!
i would call the doctors office. there is nothing over the counter. call asap because that can cause preterm labor if left untreated
No, there isn’t an over the counter remedy for bacterial vaginosis. It’s an infection that requires antibiotics to treat, and you’ll need to see a doctor for that. It’s usually indicated by a heavy grayish discharge and a foul odor.
If your guess is correct, you’ll need a prescription antibacterial. DON’T try to treat this yourself and DON’T wait for the 29th – call your doc in the morning.
All the best.
You can either wait or use home remedies to get rid of it. I read a blog that gave a lot of helpful tips on how to treat bacterial vaginosis at home.
I’ll leave a link to the blog below.
hope this helps…
Have had BV for a little over a year. Have done the Flagyl twice with no success. Tried Acidophillus and Folic Acid and just left me musty. Bought Fem Dophilus a week ago and this stuff works!!!! No smell – this is awesome. Hopefully it will cure me of this mess.
