I know what you're going through! i get them and yeast infections frequently! Are you on birth control pills? I think that's a lot of my problem so I'm looking into a different form of birth control. It's so frustrating when it won't go away! I'm also married and no he isn't cheating so don't listen to the other people on here! Good luck!

How many partners does your one partner have?

Make sure your partner only has one partner, and maybe he should be treated for it, he may be giving it right back to you. Next time you go to the docs office, ask about a second Rx to treat him also. And no sexual intercourse until all meds are finished and symptoms are completely gone.

Like most issues surrounding women's health, it doesn't look like "they" have all the answers yet regarding your condition. Reading up on it though it looks like you should continue your meds even when the symptoms are gone.

Of the things you listed I didn't see you mention anything about medications. Outside of abstaining from sex, not douching and not using IUD's you need to be taking an antibiotic. The recommended antibiotics for this condition are metronidazole or clindamycin. If your doctor isn't prescribing them then you need to make sure they do. Also take it till gone otherwise the medication won't work. You can BV can still recur but the med's should help it clear up quicker and have longer periods with no BV.

When you treat it MAKE SURE you treat your partner TOO.
