My case is a mild one and doctor said bv isnt sexually trasmitted and has to do with the vagina's defense system perturbation. I'm not a nympho or anything but due to work i havent slept with my boyfriend for 10 days now, i have a ten days therapy and after that i'm going to have my period! do you think it's medically accepted for me to sllep with my bf now or it will set back the treatment?

That depends on if you're just taking oral antibiotics or if you're doing insertable treatment as well. If you're just on oral antibiotics, I don't see what it would hurt but I would recommend he use a condom just for extra insurance (plus antibiotics f*ck with the bc pill). Personally, I'd wait and have sex during my period.

You could always make this an experiment in arousal. Spend the next ten days working each other up but not having any sex. It could make that 11th day explosive.

It'll set back the treatment and could make it worst, friction is not a good thing you'll most likely cause yourself pain, can irritate u'r boyfriend's privates as well (if not wearing a condom) in this situations to top it off u'r period is coming (with discomforts of it's own) the answer is to wait and let your body recuperate so you don't have to wait longer and in worst conditions for the next time

i would say no it would save a lot of disscomfort specially with period coming and all. it will set back your treatment think of all the fluids involved in sex and all i say wait untill its over and it will be much easier for both of you so he wont be in risk of getting his bits irritated

I would say wait until your treatment and period are done, if you can't wait then try some other way to sexually interact with him, other than vaginal penetration. You don't want to to risk a set back.

don't do it, you might end end having to wait longer if the infection would some how get worse.

I still have sex even when i get bv because that’s the only thing that gets rid of it instantly. I used to avoid it because i was scared it would get worse and i was imbarressed of the smell. But my partner didn’t care and i think some how it helped because the orgasm or the natural secretions during sex pushes it out. Now i save money and my boyfriend and i are both happy.
